Hi, I’m Nishat.

Currently, I study Cognitive Science and Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania. I came to Penn on the premed track, and I still carry its curiosity, rigor, and attention to impact into the way I investigate new technology. Outside of class, I am also exploring hardware and thinking about how design can shape the physical products and systems we interact with.

Professionally, I helped take product ideas from concept to shipped experiences at Adobe, developed and presented new concepts at Verizon, and shipped product designs with Develop for Good. Each experience has taught me a different way to turn an idea into something that creates real value for the people using it.

On campus, I am Co-Director of Penn Spark, a Figma Campus Leader, and a designer for The WALK Magazine. I also serve as a Senator for the National Society of Black Engineers and am involved with Nigerians at Penn and the Penn African Student Association. These spaces let me lead, make, and contribute across technology, design, media, and community.

In my free time, you can catch me saving restaurants on Beli, exploring new cities, going to concerts, doing my nails, building whatever idea has my attention that week, and finding new ways to explore myself creatively.
